Ecumenism is the attempt to seek a worldwide unity and cooperation among all churches ofChristendom, including both Protestants and Roman Catholics. The World Council of Churches (WCC) has taken the leading role in its development. There is evidence that many WCC ecumenists aim to proceed beyond the unity of all the churches of Christendom to the union of all religions. The Bible teaches that in the last days apostacy will increase with the rise of a false religion. As discerning believers, we endeavor to avoid associations that could be the prelude to this false religion.
